The DefiPlate™ is a precision-engineered strength training implement intended for use by experienced athletes only. Improper use, improper setup, lack of supervision, or training beyond one’s physical capacity may result in serious injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death.

By purchasing, possessing, or using the DefiPlate™, you acknowledge and agree that TherAct, LLC, its owners, designers, manufacturers, affiliates, licensors, and distributors assume no responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, loss, or damage arising from use or misuse of the product.

Use of the DefiPlate™ constitutes voluntary assumption of all known and unknown risks associated with strength training and altered barbell mechanics.

Critical Height Advisory

The DefiPlate™ begins at a 5-inch height, substantially lower than the standard Olympic plate height of approximately 8.5–9 inches. This reduced starting height produces a unique and potent training stimulus, but also introduces increased risk if mishandled.

• Olympic lifts (including snatch and clean & jerk) may be performed using DefiPlates™ alone; however, doing so significantly increases the risk of serious bodily harm, particularly during failed lifts or uncontrolled bar drops.

• The reduced starting height decreases clearance for the head, torso, and limbs during missed or dropped lifts.

• Combining DefiPlates™ with standard-diameter plates restores conventional barbell height and reduces risk.

• DefiPlates™ are best suited for submaximal technique work, controlled pulls, deficit deadlifts, and landmine-based exercises.

• Never attempt maximal or unstable loads without strict control, appropriate safety equipment, and a trained spotter present.

General Safety Guidelines

Use the DefiPlate™ only under the following conditions:

• On a flat, secure, non-slip surface

• With proper technique, preparation, and supervision

• After clearance from a qualified medical or fitness professional

• With full awareness of the altered biomechanics and increased risk

• Never while impaired, excessively fatigued, or without appropriate safety precautions

This product is not a toy. It is forged for disciplined, intentional training.

Commercial & Shared Facility Use Policy

If the DefiPlate™ is made available in a commercial gym, training facility, school, or shared environment:

• This disclaimer must be clearly displayed wherever DefiPlates™ are stored or used

• Facility owners and staff are solely responsible for educating users on proper use and inherent risks

• All risks assumed by members, guests, or participants rest entirely with the facility and the user

• Inexperienced lifters must not use DefiPlates™ without direct supervision

• TherAct, LLC assumes no liability for injury, damage, or loss occurring at commercial or shared sites

By offering or permitting use of the DefiPlate™ in a shared setting, the facility acknowledges full acceptance of these terms.

Final Oath of Use

By lifting with the DefiPlate™, you affirm that you understand and accept all associated risks and assume full responsibility for your safety and for how this implement is used.

All content, branding, logos, designs, images, and product concepts on this site are the exclusive property of TherAct, LLC and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability
